Eileen's early years were in Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington DC, where her father worked as an attorney for the Justice Department at the height of the Civil Rights Movement. Her mother's family was from Petaluma, California, with distinguished history in ranching, agriculture and creameries (Pt. Reyes Original Blue Cheese Company). Eileen's mother led fascinating careers as a school teacher, landscape designer, banker and development director for the Hospice of Northern Virginia.
A graduate from the University of Virginia, Eileen left her consulting career in Georgetown to follow her heart to San Francisco. There she worked at Apple in education technology and also consulted internet startups on branding and marketing. It was then she met Michael, which changed her fate entirely.
Eileen helped Michael create and develop NapaStyle, Chiarello Vineyards, TV shows, cookbooks, along with restaurant branding and interior design.
Eileen's latest project is a new social venture called BarnRaiser, which empowers the next generation of change-makers in food and farming as they return America to its more fertile and healthy roots.
Find out more about a project near and dear to Eileen's heart: Connolly Ranch in Napa Valley.
